I truly loved this book! It was hard putting it down at night. I found myself rooting for all the characters and even though I suspected a happy ending, it was truly very touching about how everything came about. It was about love, strength, family, honesty, and truth. Truth about what happened and unfolded and truth about how each character changed in their own way. I look forward to reading another book by Barbara Freethy.

The story has a central theme about a sailing family consisting of a widowed father and his three daughters. It's all about big secrets kept over many years and the damage they've done to each of the members of the family. You'll have to read the book to find out if there is redemption at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't want to out it down!
I am slowly working my way through all of the great books Barbara has written. This one peaked my interest because of the family name used for the main characters. The secrets in this tale run deep, but eventually the truth heals all and love and forgiveness heal
Great story about family and the problem s caused by keeping secrets. Kate, the oldest of 3 sisters feels she has to take care of her family and guard against anyone finding out what happened when they were in an around the world sailboat race. Tyler comes looking for the sisters to find some answers for his family. The attraction is mutual but both know they are hiding things.
The writing is great and I couldn't put it down. I had to find out what happened. I would highly recommend any book by Barbara Freethy, but I think this is my favorite so far.
Honestly, the book itself was amazing, and there is nothing I'd change about the storyline. I want to give this a four and a half star review, but since the system does it a certain way, I'll comply. I absolutely had to drop one for the grammar and punctuation errors, because it bugs the hell out of me to be completely enveloped in a new place, built it all up in my mind, and everything is flowing wonderfully, only to have an extra letter, word, or comma thrown in like a wrench thrown into a fan. It throws off the beautiful flow, and any editor who was proud of this work should get an assistant, because Ms. Freethy's work deserves the extra effort.
I have been a Barbara Freethy fan for several years. I always enjoy reading one of her books. They have such "rich" characters and well developed story lines. This one was no different. The McKenna sisters are the stars of this book. The three sisters and their alcoholic father won an around-the-world sailboat race eight years ago. Each sister, and their father have secrets from that stormy long trip. For a true Ms. Freethy fan, this book doesn't disappoint.
I think I’m seasick! What a wild, secretive, romantic ride. Barbara Freethy has done an amazing write on the life of three daughters and their dad with all the angst you can expect in any family, only more intense. The secrets are doozies and amazingly they kept them. Aren’t you curious? It takes a while to get there but the getting is a wonderful reward.
Barbara Freethy writes wonderful Romantic Suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed entering the world of sailing and ocean racing. Character building was great in this story – so many layers to all of the characters. More than one secret kept the waters muddy, and the ripples from one little lie were far reaching. This is a 5 star read. What are you waiting for?!?!?!
